WHO WE ARE?
We are the Motorpoint Arena & National Ice Centre, Nottingham. The largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands and home to the Nottingham Panthers. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy, entertainment, and sport, the arena hosts over 150 events and welcomes 800,000+ visitors through our doors every year.
Saltbox is in Bolero Square. It is the ideal place to attend a live music show, watch some of the biggest sporting events shown live on TV or to meet up with friends before attending an event at the Motorpoint Arena!
We are currently looking for outgoing, customer focused people to join our Bar & Events team working in Saltbox.

We are currently looking for an outgoing and customer focused Bar & Events Supervisor with passion for music and desire to work in a fast-growing music venue to join our team!
WHAT ARE THE KEY DUTIES?
- Supervising the team on shift, ensuring staff welfare and breaks
- Taking a lead on opening and closing procedures
- Overseeing bar and food service
- Preparing of drinks and assisting with food service to guests.
- Understanding the menus and being able to advise the guests appropriately.
- Curation of cocktail and drink menus themed around upcoming events.
- Ensuring stock is replenished, shelves are full, and merchandising is in place in accordance with company standards.
- Ensuring that the team carry out till functions correctly, ensuring accuracy of cash, credit card & other transactions are completed in line with company procedures.
- Promoting a friendly environment and welcoming guests upon arrival to give great service.
- Maintaining company and statuary health & safety requirements with food hygiene regulations.
- Whilst this is primarily a bar role, there will be other duties in the day to day of helping an events venue to run smoothly. Some examples of this will be ticketing for events, repping shows, organising artist riders, selling merch, promotion, social media support, decorations and room layout for events.
- Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
- Comfortable & confident in dealing with customers
- Friendly and lively personality, polite and well presented
- Team player, with good time management skills
- Able to work well in a busy environment and under pressure
- Awareness of food and hygiene standards
- Experience working in a similar setting is essential
- Confidence in cash handling and the use of tills is essential
- Experience in a supervisory role is essential
- The desire to work in a live music and events venue is preferred
