SALTBOX - BAR & EVENTS ASSISTANT

WHO WE ARE? 

We are the Motorpoint Arena & National Ice Centre, Nottingham. The largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands and home to the Nottingham Panthers. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy, entertainment, and sport, the arena hosts over 150 events and welcomes 800,000+ visitors through our doors every year.

Saltbox is in Bolero Square. It is the ideal place to attend a live music show, watch some of the biggest sporting events shown live on TV or to meet up with friends before attending an event at the Motorpoint Arena!

We are currently looking for outgoing, customer focused people to join our Bar & Events team working in Saltbox.

WHAT ARE THE KEY DUTIES?

• Preparing of drinks & assisting with food service to guests
• Working on a busy bar
• Delivering great quality customer service
• Cleaning, tidying & organising areas
• Maintaining company & statuary health & safety and food hygiene regulations
• Ensuring stock is replenished, shelves are full, and merchandising is in place and in accordance with company standards
• Whilst this is primarily a bar role, there may be other duties in the day to day of an events venue run smoothly. Some examples of this could be ticketing at Saltbox, repping events, getting artist riders, selling merch, promotion, social media and setup for events.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Be comfortable & confident in dealing with customers
• Friendly, polite & well presented
• Team player, with good time management skills
• Awareness of food & hygiene standards
• Fan of live music, events and sport showings
• Cocktail making & craft beer knowledge would be an advantage
• Confidence in cash handling and the use of tills is an advantage
• Experience in a similar role would be preferred
• The desire to work in an events venue is preferred
