National Merchandise manage merchandise concessions for both one-off and multi-date events and merchandise sales at live events across indoor and outdoor events around the UK, Ireland and Sweden.

 

We work in some of the biggest arenas in the UK, Ireland and Sweden, including the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Glasgow OVO Hydro Arena, The O2 Arena in London, Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, Manchester’s AO Arena, Avicii Arena Stockholm and Co-op Live in Manchester.

 

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our established team to support the delivery of NM operations.  Supporting the Head of Design & Operations the Logistics Manager will coordinate the mobilisation and breakdown of non-venue events.

 

In addition, the Logistics Manager will lead on the coordination of vehicles and staff to locations across the UK, Ireland and Sweden whilst overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of logistics assets owned by NM.

 

Key duties for the Logistics Manager include:

  • Managing the servicing and maintenance of NM assets
  • Working with the NM Senior team on planning support teams for non-venue events for loading and loading stock and equipment
  • Working with the Head of Design and Operations on the sourcing/repair or movement of Retail equipment for outdoor events
  • Supporting in warehouses around the company on the repair or replacement of equipment
  • Sourcing and delivering various event related equipment to support onsite festival sales e.g. Welfare items and Stock movement equipment
  • Creating strong and close relationships with all NM managers.
  • Building close relationships with National Ice Centre’s partners relating to vehicle fleet movement and maintenance, in particular Nottingham City Council.
  • Ownership of health and safety relating to National Merchandise representing the team at the monthly company health and safety meeting.
  • Organising drivers, and occasionally drive yourself, to support the merchandise operational delivery, to and from events at various indoor and outdoor venues in the UK, Ireland, including route planning and associated requirements (eg parking arrangements, tolls, accommodation, etc)
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the National Merchandise trailers.
  • Liaising with NM Managers to organise the delivery and installation of trailers and support in the movement of these
  • Supporting in the review of accidents and incidents related to company and hire vehicles; identify trends and implement improvements and training to reduce incidents.
  • Supporting business proposals for replacement of assets (vehicles and trailers) as and when required.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a similar role, they will hold a qualification in the movement of trailers or will be happy to study towards the qualification. 

 

First aid qualifications would be an advantage.

 

They will have an open and approachable style, willing to problem solve whilst being solution driven.  They will have an understanding of budgets and spending limits together with experience of moving trailers and driving large vehicles.  They will have experience of using a tachograph with the ability to manage the driver tachograph process.

 

Due to the needs of our business the candidate will have an understanding and acceptance of the need to be away from home for multiple days to deliver planned asset movements.

 

They will have the ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of our business, which will include anti-social hours, weekend and bank holiday working. 

 

A full driving licence including a minimum of B + E classifications are essential for this role.
