The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is the biggest entertainment venue in the East Midlands. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy, and sport and with a seating capacity of up to 10,000, we are one of the most versatile entertainment venues in the UK.
The National Ice Centre (NIC) sits within the same complex. Made famous by Olympic legends and Dancing on Ice stars, Torvill & Dean, the National Ice Centre is Nottingham’s hub for all things ice skating and ice hockey. We are the home of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team and host around 30 games a year.
2025 is a bumper year for our venue with us welcoming Peter Kay, Kylie, Strictly Come Dancing, Craig David, Mo Gilligan, Olly Murs, Diana Ross and the 50th Anniversary Tour of Torvill & Dean to name a few.
Reporting to the Head of IT the IT Operations & Security Manager will be responsible for the secure and efficient operation of IT services across onsite and offsite operations. Managing IT operations, service management and cybersecurity you will ensure the organisations technology infrastructure meets the needs of our business whilst maintaining compliance with security standards.
Assisting with the management of day-to-day IT activities you will directly line manage our teams of Field and IT Engineers. In addition you and your team will ensure that network, cloud and on-site infrastructure remain resilient and secure.
In addition, you will closely with, our Data Protection Officer to drive positive change in GDPR compliance, ensuring that data protection policies and security measures are embedded in business operations.
You will take ownership of IT projects across the organisation to enhance IT service performance, security and scalability, driving change for continuous improvement in maintaining uptime, mitigating risk and optimising IT operations to support business growth.
With a proven record within a management role in IT operations, you will have excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate task effectively.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing and troubleshooting complex issues. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A strategic thinker with the ability to align IT strategies with business you will be familiar with industry best practice, standards and compliance requirements.
Flexibility is key due to the needs of our business, you will on occasion need to work late nights, weekends or bank holidays..
