Who are we?
The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is the biggest entertainment venue in the East Midlands. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy and sport, with a seating capacity of up to 10,000, we are one of the most versatile entertainment venues in the UK.
The National Ice Centre (NIC) sits within the same complex. Made famous by Olympic legends and Dancing on Ice stars, Torvill & Dean, the National Ice Centre is Nottingham’s hub for all things ice skating and ice hockey. We are the home of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team and host around 30 games a year.
2025 is a bumper year for our venue with us welcoming Peter Kay, Kylie, Strictly Come Dancing, Craig David, Mo Gilligan, Olly Murs, Diana Ross and the 50th Anniversary Tour of Torvill & Dean to name a few.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for Motorpoint Arena Nottingham & National Ice Centre and provide excellent customer service.
This is an independent role working between 7.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday and they will ensure that all corporate guests, meeting and event attendees, and arena visitors are greeted warmly with a smile and a positive attitude.
The Venue Receptionist will play a leading role within our Hospitality team and their primary objective is to:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department plus provide general support to visitors and staff.
Ensure security protocols are followed, including visitor sign-in procedures & reporting any suspicious behaviour to the security control room.
Support with lost property for the building including reuniting customers with their items.
Provide venue information to customers of the Nottingham Ice Centre & Motorpoint Arena, including information on events, ice skating, shop and café opening times.
Sell tickets and upgrades via our venue ticketing system this includes standard and hospitality tickets.
Manage all internal meeting room bookings including bookings of food and drinks as and when required.
Support with additional administration duties for the sales and operational catering team including enquiries, invoicing, meeting and events administration.
Monitor feedback within the business including responding to feedback emails.
In addition, the post holder will..
Update the relevant company databases / ticketing systems with accurate client and sales information and ensure all data is managed in line with GDPR.
Support the Head of Sales and Hospitality, Head of Food and Beverage and Head of Security with administration duties.
Ensure all internal sales, operational and financial procedures are adhered to.
To recognise and understand the responsibility for the protection of Children and Adults at Risk. To be committed to ensuring the effective implementation of the NIC Safeguarding Policy, in order that all aspects of the business comply to the Policy.
To undertake other tasks as may be allocated from time to time.
All staff are expected to maintain high standards of customer care, to uphold the Equality and Diversity Policy and Health & Safety standards, and to participate in training activities necessary to their post.
