up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
40 hours per week, flexibility in working hours is essential.
Who are we?
National Merchandise are the UK’s largest independent entertainment merchandiser!
We offer a wide range of services including Merchandise Development, Venue Merchandise Sales Management and Live Event Merchandise Sales.
We manage the venue merchandising teams for the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Glasgow OVO Hydro Arena, The O2 Arena in London, Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena and the AO Arena Manchester........ to name a few!
In addition, we manage merchandise concessions for both one-off and multi-date events and merchandise sales at live indoor and outdoor events across live venues around the UK.
No event is too large or too small for National Merchandise! We cover all level of events from a small programme sporting event to a large stadium concert merchandise event.
What are we looking for?
Our Merchandise Managers support the Area Manager in the development and management of merchandise.
Through the motivation and effective use of their team the Merchandise Managers will deliver a world-class service to our customers whilst achieving budgeted revenue targets.
In addition, the Merchandise Managers will:
- Undertake daily cashing up, the balancing of tills and banking
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the merchandise sales, including but not limited to checking stock in and out, managing the sales units on event days, and ensuring events are prepped in advance
- Liaise with our Finance team to ensure all financial regulations are complied with
- Be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely pricing of all merchandise
- Ensure daily and weekly rotas are managed to ensure adequate cover at all times
- Be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and development of the Leeds merchandise team.
Our Essential Requirements
The Merchandise Managers will:
- Have excellent Team Management and Supervision skills
- Be highly IT Literate
- Have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong numerical skills and financial acumen
- Possess the ability to manage budgets effectively and to work flexibly to meet the needs of our business
- Have previous experience of merchandising and stock control, able to maintain good levels of stock at all times
- Have an understanding of basic retail practices and the ability to ensure that these are in place on a daily basis
- Have previous experience of managing a venue within the UK, Ireland or UAE
Holding a valid, full UK driving licence would be an advantage. The ability to work flexibly is essential, this role will involve working in the evenings, at weekends and bank holidays.
