National Merchandise manage merchandise concessions for both one-off and multi-date events and merchandise sales at live indoor and outdoor events around the UK and Ireland.

 

We work in some of the biggest arenas in the UK and Ireland, including The O2 Arena, Glasgow OVO Hydro Arena, The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, Dublin's 3 Arena,  Avicii Arena Stockholm and Co-op Live in Manchester.

 

In addition to the work we do in venues we also work with some of the biggest festival organisers in the world bringing merchandise to music and entertainment fans at events that include Download, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Isle of Wight, British Summer Time, Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, Electric Picnic, Leeds & Reading festivals and many more.

 

We are looking for a Senior Merchandise Manager to to support the strategic development and management of merchandise at National Merchandise.

 

To motivate and effectively use your team to deliver a world class quality service to our customers whilst achieving the required revenue targets. 

 

Key Duties Include:

 

  • Responsible of managing Managers and Assistant Managers within your area.
  • Attend regular meetings with the venues within your area to ensure operations are seamless. 
  • To absorb all previous responsibilities of the Retail Manager role, overseeing all operations at Merch Store at The O2 and beyond.
  • Regular assessment of condition of the merchandise stands at all venues, to ensure they are up to standard, reporting all damages to Area Manager.
  • Monitoring and reducing staff costs across venues & Outdoor where possible.
  • Liaise with the Finance team, to ensure all financial regulations are compiled with by National Merchandise procedures.
  • To assist the Area Manager with project management, on new retailing opportunities or upgrades within your area.

 

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working with a merchandise or retail environment would be an advantage 

 

They will have the ability to negotiate with suppliers and merchandise companies. 

 

With strong communication skills, both written and verbal the ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and financial acumen with previous experience of managing budgets.

 

Must be IT literate to support the development of online and social websites

 

Due to the responsibilities within this role, the successful applicant needs to have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, often working in excess of their contracted hours.
